Synopsis

This is a technical tutorial about understanding Carrier Grade Backend Services such as Anycast DNS, NetFlow, and Event Management (SIEM) with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) Stack.


Target audience

Engineers interested in building carrier grade backend services.


Prerequisites

  • It is assumed that tutorial participants have a working knowledge of backend network services and Linux.
  • This tutorial is an entry level introduction but involves heavy labs and exercises.

Other requirements

Hardware: It is highly recommended that participants bring their own laptop computers with Wifi(b/g/n) and administrative access to system to practice the lessons learned during the Tutorials.
Software: SSH Client and a modern web browser
